hall eleven sucks. like really :(
the rooms are like jail cells, with green doors and
no aircon. the furniture is simple and sadly to say,
terribly dusty! ohheavens. lucky i have ashton.

we're so gonna make that into a real cosy room.
red and white is our theme, even though my bedsheet
has a blue background with various animal prints on them!
other than that, ash bought a red dustbin, red rug, red
container, and red bedsheets! haha we're real singapore
patriots ayee. zz national day!

anyway, the toilet is like three rooms away from us,
towards the left, right at the end of the corridor.
i saw slippers and shoes outside the rooms next to us,
so i assume there are actually inhibitants other than us!
greattt, the quad doesnt look all that lonely and quiet anymore.

i hope i enjoy my hall camp which starts tmr till friday.

nowadays the cinemas in town are ALWAYS packed!

but as usual there were only first two rows from the front left by the time we actually got there. it's the same at plaza sing and cathay! in the end we ended up watching lady in the water which was
hmm-okay-no comments show. as usual the twist was there (it's the same director of the village and signs, and before that i ate at manhatten market again. per and her friend waited for me at dhoby mrt at eleven-fifty three to catch the last train home. haha thanks! :)

i havent yet made up to the mere two-hours of sleep that night in camp! and i always believe that my system works better without incurring sleep debts. i need sleep! but stupid chinese session at tenthirty tmr morning and all the way at ntu somemore! i seriously am in the mood to slaughter now. hur zzz.

orientation was better than i expected.
i was in CASAYA! :) (yellow)
we had games stations, crimson night(fright night), d-race at sentosa, d-night (finale performance), late night walks outside ntu, and supper/breakie at 3am in the morning!

piano later at three. im freaking tired right now and
i dont feel like going. however, dinner's gonna be
abit more interesting. JACK'S PLACE! :) yay. i havent
eaten that for a long long time so it gets rather
exciting, at least there's something for me to look
forward to at the end of the day.

it was travelling all the way down to faraway
land-nie this morning. i almost fell asleep on the train
because it took ages to reach boon lay station.
and i had to walk all the way from one end
of the interchange to get to the 199 bus stand!

i finally got down to submit my hall application
form! heh actually from the posters, the rooms
look quite decent. really. i just hope it isnt
some form of propaganda that deludes. haha

idol live yesterday was all good.
i think jonathan reeeally has the most potential
to emerge as this year's singapore idol! :)
other than that, paul didnt perform as well on
stage for the evening, and some of his crazy fans
were going ga-ga over him and we saw this bunch
of girls wearing a bright red shirt with his face printed
on the front! amusingly funny. i can never imagine
myself going to that extent even if im falling head over
heels with someone i think worth idolising. tsk.
this is what i deem the most vulnerable age-
the teenage years. (im glad to survive this phase
without doing much stupid things. so far) haha.
but on the other hand, im kinda sad that i'll be
hitting the BIG two next year! eee. so old!

anyway it was a lucky night because we got what
we wanted- THE 'CHEESY BITES' PIZZA from pizzahut! :D
heh. we've been craving for it since the first quarter
of idol, after the advert promoting the pizza on commercials!
it was so tempting we couldnt resist it. so in the end,
mal called the pizzahut hotline and they delivered it to
the poolside while we cabbed back from mediacorp
and waited for a whole long 45 minutes before it finally
arrived. me sheila mal and per were the only ones
at the poolside and i think was quite nice slacking
till midnight. except for the scaringly irritating noise
(mal said it was the pool drainage), and the most embarassing
incident that happened to me and a security guard (okay shut up),
the night felt rather romantic with such good company :)

met chris after her piano exam yesterday afternoon
and i went to town AGAIN for the 4th time.
it was penisula plaza to look for her strawberry-flavour cigarettes,
then we sat down at the hongkong cafe place opposite borders
for 3 hours and talked. actually we spent half the time trying so hard
to converse in cantonese. but our cantonese ended up sounding like
hokkien vulgar so we gave up. the last hour was more fruitful,
with chris trying to learn tamil from me. haha. and ohh! we saw a damn damn cute puppy. it was a chihuahua that was so small it looked like a kitten.

since the weather has been perfect for a swim today,
i decided to watch pirates tmr instead. called sleepyhead at
twelvethiry just now and he was still sleeping. all the excuse of a block leave...
anyway, i think im addicted to 100% entertainment. zzz. i can even stay up till one am to catch the repeat of the show when i miss the five pm one. ahhh xiao gui is so cute! :)

5. laughed more than i ever did in the past few weeks!

the whole singapore idol thing, im completely out of touch.

ive not watched a single full episode of singapore idol 06 as yet.
i even think i watched the previous season more frequently when i was still schooling the other time. okay anyway, if you ask me to comment about the contestants, ive only noticed a couple.
paul twohill (yes his hair is too obvious to be missed; he's like everyone's idol in orchard road now, posters of him, imitation of his hairdos blah, and also just happen to be my friend's friend),
jonathan leong (ive noticed even from my skimpy watching that he has got the most potential and his voice is good; a great performer on stage; what i call the x-factor),
joaquim (the monkey-face, but i ttill think he's rather good looking from afar) and lastly,
gayle nerva (who coincidentally was my schoolmate; from chij choir; my friend's friend, and remembered that she sang vanessa carlton's songs while playing on the piano damn well when we were just hanging around in the hall after school. i recalled she sounded really like vanessa herself even though she was still an amateur).

ive been doing absolutely no-brainer work today in the office. shuffling pamphlets for the upcoming general medicine talk into uniform rectangular white tan tock seng envelopes is seriously a waste of resources. just because my ops manager decided that this mundane job is not worth the department paying 750 bucks to get outsiders to mail it off all ended up in my hands. i spent bloody three hours to complete only a miserable 250! sigh. and i worked overtime today. but i get to claim my one-hour off tomorrow so no complaints about that. i have to report to work at 9am tomorrow and that sucks. i just hope i wont be late, again.

and so, i didnt go out to watch the world cup finals on the big screen.

instead, it was napping at eleven-thirty after a nice hot shower, and awoken up by mom at two-fortyfive. im sorry guys, i know i pangseh-ed you all the last minute :( i'll make up for it i promise.

earlier on was qilin's percussion concert that i went to attend with dan. a really soothing performance at the beginning, and i was awed by the guy who used four mallets to play a mozart's piece! he was oh my god la. damn good.

it was n.y.d.c at holland village for dinner. we took ages to decide what we wanted for dinner cause we thought we had 6 hours to kill before going town to watch the soccer finals. adleendha's working there! in the end the kitchen screwed up and actually forgot our order. i think we waited for almost an hour. even the gang who ate katong laksa beat us. she lso told me ashton's looking for a roommate, so i might consider staying in a hostel after all.

nine-fortyfive and we wanted to catch a midnight movie. but hell, lido is only showing four pathetic movies and they all sucks. in the end went topman to get his plain tees and finally came down to a decision that we should go home after all instead of loitering around for another four hours in town cause we really were damn tired after the whole dinner thing. the lucky boy is flying to hongkong early morning! jealousy reigns :( he promised egg tarts though.

i had good fun yesterday with the clique! it was manhatten at plaza sing after work to celebrate qianqi's birthday, after which we walked to orchard indochine! with rather tired feet and for some with heels on, it was pure torture. but heh me and char went photo crazy at manhatten and in the toilet! blame it on cheap thrills! we were total idiots. anyhow, the rest of the night ended off with rather unsuccessful attempts of entering alleybar, acidbar, pre-rouge and the balcony. it sucks not to be using the standard student ez-link with your ID photo when you dont bring your ic out. it doesnt matter whether your photo looks disgusting or no, me and pau were really pissed at ourselves.

finally we settled at indochine to get a couple of drinks. me and pau shared fuzzy navel, which i thought was one of the more refreshing drinks ordered by the table. unfortunately cin and qi's drink (some mango vodkha) didnt turn out too delicious, and the rest shots and beers.

and oh my god, daniel's brother is actually samuel! (one of the junior doctor in my department) i cant believe this world is so small.

if im going aussie, it's gonna be next thursday or never. no match tonights :( but it's all good. at least i dont get any more disrupted sleep. two nights, they are enough. let me save my energy for the upcoming finals.

i cant believe italy scored two goals when it was only left with two minutes of extra time before the penalty shoot-outs. my whole family awoke at 2.45 and sat down in front of the tv. and for those who didnt know, we are all avid soccer fans to begin with, so sacrificing our sweet dreams and beauty sleep in the middle of the night to watch the match is no big deal. well, it doesnt really affect me anyway since i start work at noon heh. but it definitely was a great disappointment when germany lost during the eleventh hour. i half expected an exciting penalty shoot-out with germany emerging victorious as proud finalists, striding down home grounds with mad cheerings from fans and supporters. but owell, as the saying goes, the ball is round.

surprisingly, the matches i watched so far always end up with a draw. god knows why. i just hope the match tmr morning at 3am isnt gonna be like that again. i wanna see at least one goal before full-time.

lunch on dr tay tmr. no special occasion. just a random idea he gave this afternoon and some happy smiles from secretaries and jennifer(the drug rep). so at least it's a :D for tomorrow!

finally got down to touching the piano keys after two weeks!
i know im terrible. it's just that i havent started on a single page of theory homework yet and it's been two weeks since my last lesson. i should have gotten down to do it. procrastination is bad :( miss hii is gonna shoot me.
