hollywood bollywood!

it was ttsh's dinner and dance yesterday evening.
even though my sari was ultra looong ( i cant even walk
without lifting it up) and it was obviously oversized,
i still manage to pull it off without tripping! :)
thank god for the invention of safety pins and
the kind indian lady in the toilet who helped me
with all the wrapping!

ohoh and i manage to take pictures with my afro guys
who i think are DAMN cool and they should win best dressed
for the night (unfortunately they are the people overlooking
the event so i think they arent eligible for the segment).
i call them the 'shimmery sixties' cause their costumes
got the sixties hippies disco fever look which i liked so much!

the reason i didnt post up any pictures for the night
is because silly me forgot to bring three important things:
1. my camera ( greatt. i found that out when i was in town
and saw people taking pictures)
2. my indian bangles ( to go with my sari; i became
plain-old-jane)
3. MY DINNER AND DANCE TICKET! ( for the lucky draw)

i swear i would have shoot myself dead if my ticket was
one of the few lucky ones that got picked. luckily my bad
luck ends there.

ttsh idol was won by the malay security guard
whom our table voted for! (we also voted for this other
doctor who was equally entertaining). and i was the only
idiot who showed moral support for the rest of the
other contestants by waving my lightstick in the dark!

buffet lunch was nothing fantastic.
it was a meal to thank the current batch
of house officers and medical officers (the junior doctors)
as we will have a round of switchover soon from may.
that means fresh newbies from other hospitals or
nus medical school. come to think of it, this batch of
doctors were fun to work with and friendly conversations
often livening up the quiet office. i will miss raj.
(he was previously from rj). heh yes of course among many others who
came from there too. and also dr sridvidhya and so many
others i cannot else name here. i remember they always
ask me where the call claims were, borrowing duty
rosters, ward coverage plans for the month and calendars, taking
leave forms from the tray, enquiring about carpark coupons
and where to park their cars etc.
but all happy things must come to an end however
cliche it may sound, i truly wish them all the best
in their future endeavours.
i look forward to the new batch of MOs and HOs with anticipation.

it was a beautiful morning to begin with.
woke up early to have morning jog with per
around toa payoh! haha such motivations we
had in mind! but hmm we werent that lousy
were we. we ran one whole round
from lor1 to lor4 then back to lor 1!
sounds accomplished? well, we merely walked
3/4 of the journey and only ran 1/4 of it.
that also means we consumed more than we
lost thanks to our breakfast at home and then
drinks at macs. but we assured ourselves well
that this is only warm up round for next sunday's run.
all the consolation! zzz.

went back home to bathe and off we
headed to holland village; the one and
only ever so exotic place in sunny singapore!
heh reminds me of my ac days where we made
that our favourite hangout place! had katong
laksa at our first stopover. ( see what i mean,
the amount we keep eating is never gonna
equate to the amount we are determine to lose)
thats so sad but ignoring this, everything tasted
so heavenly under pangs of hunger. i think
god created us like this so we can enjoy
the happy moments in life :) heh the laksa 'got
kick' and plus sitting under the red red umbrella
adds to the spicyness of it all.

ohohoh i want to get a job at pets lovers centre! (:
pleaseeee. im so in love with the puppies there.
aww they're such cuties i wanna bring that australian
terrier home! but it costs blooody twothousand twohundred
bucks minus vaccination and all. shitt that's like
how many month's pay for me. however it gave
me a brilliant idea to work there since i love the animals
there so damn much! im gonna call them up tmr
to enquire if there are vacancies, preferably another
branch where i dont have to endure the same cursed
14 stops train-ride from home? i went to check online
just now and theres one branch at scotts road. hopefully
that one has cute puppies too. that will make my life much
simpler.

it started pouring late noon. we got drenched
runing like idiots from f.o.s to the opp taxa stand.
what luck! we thought we had deserved better
dinner as compensation so we treated ourselves to IKEA!
wowwheee. like swedish meatballs and chicken wings and
spaghetti and roast beef! yes we ordered that much even
though there were only two of us! heh that spells greedy
i know but the food was irresistable aint it. shut up
i know you agree.

ij tmr for per's testimonials and my relief
teaching vacancies. then it's back to monday
blues and work :( im dreading the afternoon
as a matter of fact. but after that it's sgh to visit
grandma. hope she gets well soon.

busy day tmr so early night i suppose.

my tennis session is ruined by prediction
of a really bad weather later. zzz

instead, my mom is suggesting a walk
in the newly revamped marina square.
she hasnt been there and she needs
a new tefal wok for her cooking. the old one
is getting really unpolished as it was from
last last christmas. so changed of plans for
the day. thankfully i finished my s.o.s vcd,
i personally enjoyed the ending.
somehow unexpected outcome that makes
all very very very happy :)

i think if mom hasnt dragged me out of the
house, i would have turn into a hermit.
i havent been going out lately which,
according to my parent's, is a damn
good sign. hahahh spending quality time
with family feels rather good actually,
especially when im dead broke at the moment.
yesterday's tiong bahru market dinner cum supper
was awesome! good food good food.

first of all give me a round of applause.

i finally manage to get out of my comfort zone.
i ran 6 rounds round the last lane at the stadium
on sunday and i havent felt so great for a really long time.
my crazy dad ran 12 rounds, double by distance!
actually some calculation i did gave me the motivation.
i found that i lovee my butt more than i think i do.
i sit in the office all day and then coming home
after work and then faithfully give my butt somemore rest
it doesnt rightfully deserve by plopping down on the couch till
dinnertime! and ive calculated that my butt touches the cushion
for more than 8 hours a day! isnt that so scary that you dont
even realise it. no wonder all my fat goes down to my butt!
okayy so im proud of myself and the motivation shall
continue i hope. hail to running :)

oh and now i believe wrinkles are caused
by gravitional pull.

hello im finally back.
let's resume weekly supper-club once again :)

the stay in msia had been a rather good one
apart from the fact that my grandma isnt feeling
too well. she sprained her back and she feels
bloated all the time so she has been eating very
very little. lets just hope that her condition will get better
soon. anyway on a lighter note, ive been
resting at my grandma's place for about five days
already. everyday i just wake up, consume breakfast
which is my muesli forest fruit bar, sit in front of the
goggle box till lunchtime, eat again, look for friends,
cycle around the estate till dinner time, go home
bath eat again and see if there's anything interesting on
tv at night. then off i go to sleep and the whole cycle
simply repeats itself the next day. yes can you believe it
i did the same old routine for five consecutive days!
this is what i call truly in a relaxed state. i remember
i used make a lot of complains about the short stays
in msia when i was still schooling; and worrying about
completing the stack of homework i have to do before the
sch hols come to an end. but not anymore. it indeed feels
damn good to live the day as it is.

before i forget,
happy belated birthday chels! :)
i promise you the april babes will celebrate together!
it's a date for sure.
