2005 has finally come to an end.
down with a few more hours left
before a fresh year begins.

thinking back, a hell lot
of memories floods back.
the friends ive made this year,
the ones who drifted away,
those that i became closer to
and for some i was sorry for the
way i reacted at times.

the alevel period was hell.
it was pure torture.
1000000 times worse than the Os.
i regretted doing last minute mugging
for subjects like maths which turned
out rather horrendously in which
i dont wish to comment further otherwise.
teachers were always there,
i dont know why but i always
thought the consultation periods
were some sort of dejavus.
but anyhoo, not in any way
that i wish to repeat that
whole year of studying experience
deemed to be plain torture ever again.
i just wanna get into a local university.

our family has been good i guess.
perhaps a lil less communication
because of the annoying As.
i was mostly stuck in my studyroom
most of the time hardly interacting much
with the household people. i realise
studying makes me more reticent as
a person, i dont usually have much
to say after a long study period.
maybe because my mind is saturated
and im tired. i had had a few holidays this
year ( oh yeah i have cool parents who
still go for holidays when the prelims are
a week away or 3 weeks before A's kinda thing)
but mostly short weekend trips?
bangkok and malaysia; a couple of
visits to de-stress myself.

a year older now and being 18
feels good. indeed there was a lot
of first experiences and all but
all that comes with greater responsibilties
i think. although they say it's one step
further to freedom and adulthood, for me
it feels yet another step further away
from my parents. im afraid im currently
living under a very sheltered environment
and i cant imagine the boys going in for
army. i guess i will just cry for nights and
i hate to give up my cosy pillows
and my queen size bed for a single uniform
one!

well thinking of happier thoughts,
all in all, i guess 2005 has brought me
happiness, showered me with blessings
and i can say it has been a year with
ups and downs.

and so to the rest of the world,
happy new year's eve everyone! :)

im keeping my fingers crossed for
world peace!

HI I AM JOHN

oh god i received a prank call
when i was at creative hands
in taka! the person just mentioned
that he was john and said he
got my no. from a friend.
then, he asked me to head
down to pacific plaza
to meet him and his friend!
i was seriously quite freaked out :(
because i didnt see anyone i know
in town and i seriously had no idea
who this person was! so i rejected
and demanded that he told me who
our common friend was before
i made any move over to
anyone to meet whoever.
i knew he was no stranger and
i kinda suspected it was some
prank call so he gave me a discount
and wanted me to come down to
wheelock place instead. after
much assurance that it was
definitely one of my friends,
and having plucked up some guts
i finally headed to wheelock and
it turned out to be stupid KHUNGLIN
pulling my leg! and 'john' was actually
his friend shaun! *^&%#!%&

gave me a scare!
lameshitt.
i could have reached home
half an hour earlier really.
i have to say his hair is getting
wierder! head of pixies with two
and a half horns. heh :)

town is freaking crowded lately.
for two consecutive days i dropped
by, i cant move pass the human jam.
the xmas sales promotions are
annoying me. now i cant get
things done fast in town
and get home! i just need
everyone to disappear
into thin air or something really,
and nowadays i just aint crowd-
tolerant somehow.

xmas eve is round the corner.
i want to spend my xmas eve differently
this year; no hustle and bustle, no partying
away, and NO CROWDS!

morning and i bloody woke
up at 5.33 because my stomach
was hurting like hell. went
back to sleep at 6 and woken
by mom an hr later.

i was so damn tired
that i cancelled my piano! :(
which i have to make up next
year! deb went on a half day leave

only my aunt, me and ml!

remarks in the morning and almost
landed up in deep shit. stupid

one week of work life; two days of rest.

btw, debra is my fellow colleague!
and she is now my best friend in the
office other than my aunt of course :)
hahaa she really helps me out whenever
i am in need or at a loss. medical reports,
casesheets, letter formatting, forms,
doctor's claims and blah she never fails
to guide me along! thanks deb.

and oh yesterday i plucked my courage
and asked Dr LEE if he's got a brother
teaching chinese at AC and he laughed.
Dr LEE (this really old fatherly figure who is
currently my fav doctor in the department of
general medicine): -laughs- no. i dont!
but you know who they say i look like?
me: who?
Dr LEE: GOH CHOK TONG!!
me: haha really?
DR LEE: yeah whenever i go for holidays or out shopping
with my wife, people will come and ask me whether im
mr GOH's brother or something! then my wife will laugh.

xmas shopping! :)
i didnt know yh will be so punctual man!
went kino he bought some book that really
convinces me that he's into Maoism. heh
went coffee club ate brunch, sat down
talked about stuff, uni and txf and ns and
lots of other future concerns. it was
a really nice talk btw with the window
seat. then headed down to isetan to
get jia's bday present and we had a hard
time choosing a nice blue wallet for him cos
they werent much choices there. i thought the
one we chose was obviously the best designed
by billabong after which went topshop
bumped into carrie ann matthews (ij's vice
principle's daughter which currently just
graduated from ij) and bought the bloomsberry
chocolates. the pick-up bar thing is cool and
plus another queen's bathing set for gen's bday
cum xmas pressiee. went cityhall to meet christina and
she was dressed in bright cherry colours which was
a stark contrast to what i wore. hehh anw tried
taking silly pictures at the esplanade with the
asian displays! hehhh. was quite hilarious though.
but had fun except walking to the national library.
the control station lady told us it was just a mere
"two traffic lights and then turn right" but it
turned out to be 3 or 4 traffic lights away down the
street. luckily nana caught the directional sign along
the roadside or else i think we would have walked
the whole bugis area searching high and low for
a building which we cannot differentiate between
smu. haha oopps that was rather silly i know but hmm
we havent been to nats lib before you see so you
cant really put the blame on us and we werent sure
which bus to take, nor which route to take. for example
we took some unnecessary long walks and tried to jaywalk
across the esplanade when clearly there was an underpass.
seriously judging by the heavy traffic and considering
that it was a busy crossroad junction in the city, we
would have been knocked down by some vehicles a million
times before we reach the other end of the road.
but sillybabeofmine you're still so cute and was
glad you really liked my present! :)
that beam on your face finally means that
my efforts were all paid off!

kenny rogers with 1/5 of the ij people
this afternoon. me and huimin were
the third last to arrive and mr ng
beat our record despite being the
supposed "star-of-the-day" and came
in only at 3 plus; when the lunch was
to be at 12.

i woke up at only 12.30 to find myself
already half an hour late for the gathering.
so i rushed like madd to the point that
i only took half an hour to get ready and
left the house at 1pm. i was in such a hurry
that i just grabbed my phone and my wallet
without a bag. godd it was bad because
the train was freaking crowded cos it was
lunchtime. i think we sat down to eat
for the longest time ever; a record of nearly
5hours straight at kenny rogers!
then talked some lame shitt and mr ng
gave us some really lame and i mean really
lame jokes ( the white monkey one and the
green pingpong balls) that really cracked us
up a hell lott even though we didnt manage to
get the latter one about pingpongballs
wthh now i believe him when he says one
joke can take up to one whole hour! but
the thing is, the longer it lasted, the better
the effect of the joke really. you just have
to get into the story and be involved with
it trust me and the joke never fails with an
engrossed listener and participant :)

anyhoo after that, me van and piyo went
to walk around the fountain of wealth.
although we got abit wet, it was great fun
but the circle was so packed at that time that
completing three rounds around the fountain
took ages. it was irritatingly slooww.
i think we stood at one spot for at least 5 sec
before we can move a tiny step forward.
where did those people pop out from?!

i want to listen to that irish band.
yeahhh rock all the way for now :)

i had enough of carrom and daidee.
played all day long whilst in malaysia.
even baby king plays it.
